What The Heck is Sustainable Development?

Chosing a name for a website and a blog can be a daunting process. I knew that I wanted to focus on our environmental problems, but in doing my research I quickly realized that one cannot focus on the environment itself without focusing on the entire picture. Sustainable development is a concept that takes into account a broad range of issues. The Wikipedia definition of sustainable development is that “it is a pattern of resource use that aim to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but in the indefinite future”.
Heavy stuff, but what it boils down to is that our planet is in trouble and it is going to take the effort of each and every one of us to insure the future of our planet.
